Hardnero Ltd. was founded in London in 2025 and remains headquartered in the United Kingdom. London is the legal and strategic base of the company and the centre of its product and international growth strategy.
Founder & CEO Armin Bersenkowitsch is also active from Austria, working from an office within an established startup environment. This provides an additional operational connection to the Central European technology and business market without changing Hardnero’s London headquarters.
Product development is supported by fixed freelance programmers and subcontractors, including capacity based in Berlin and Amsterdam. Across programming, module development and testing, Hardnero currently draws on a network of approximately 14 external contributors. These specialists support delivery as independent contractors and partner resources rather than as a single in-house employee team.

Armin Bersenkowitsch built Hardnero after navigating two major periods of personal and business adversity. Those experiences demanded difficult decisions, new beginnings and the determination to rebuild. They ultimately strengthened the clarity, energy and long-term commitment behind Hardnero.
Before founding Hardnero, he independently completed private professional education in bookkeeping, balance-sheet accounting and certified payroll administration, including advanced payroll training in Austria. His professional roots as Founder & CEO therefore lie directly in HR, payroll and the operational realities behind them.
Within this field, the demand was already clear: companies needed better digital processes, practical AI-supported automation and easier access to the legislation and country-specific rules that shape everyday payroll work. Recognising this gap became the original intention behind Hardnero.
Hardnero began with a clear HR and payroll purpose — and is being expanded into a complete modular platform for the wider operational needs of modern companies.
Transparency & responsibility
Responsibility is part of my journey.
My journey has not been straightforward. In 2015, I was convicted by the Regional Court of Linz for aggravated robbery. In 2023, a second conviction followed for aggravated fraud and tax fraud under Section 39 of the Austrian Financial Criminal Act (FinStrG), involving amounts in the millions.
I accept both convictions and the consequences that resulted from them. I do not minimise this part of my past — it is part of my journey, but it does not determine how I act today or the values I represent.
Through specialist education and further training in payroll administration, the original idea for Hardnero emerged. Today, we are building a modular software and AI platform designed to provide businesses with practical, secure and meaningful solutions.
To me, responsibility means not hiding the past, but learning from it and acting according to clear principles today.
The origin of Hardnero
HR and payroll were the starting point.
Hardnero’s original product intention grew directly from the founder’s payroll and accounting background: create a country-specific HR and payroll module that structures complex information, uses digital and AI-supported workflows and prepares reliable documentation for professional review.

Prepare employee setup, employment data, working hours, additional hours, overtime, time off in lieu, leave balances and sickness absence in one structured workflow.
Structured, explainable calculations
Prepare payroll-relevant data and draft calculations covering tax-free hour limits, special payments, mileage allowances and other country-specific wage components.
